WHAT IS REGENERATIVE FARMING?

Here at Broadview, we believe that if we take care of the land, it will produce an abundant harvest. (Matthew 13:8). One of the ways we do this is through regenerative farming. Broadview Agriculture Inc. is committed to the 6 Pillars of Regenerative Agriculture:

Limited Disturbance

Which we practice with limited and shallow plowing

Armor

We use grazing cover crops such as radishes, hairy vetch, rye and barley. These cover crops protect the top soil and push nitrogen back into the land, feeding important microbes into the soil to maintain healthy ecosystems.

Diversity

We practice crop rotation, as well as growing cover crops with our cash crop.

Living Roots

This practice increases the efficiency of plant roots to gain nutrients from the healthy soil.

Integrated Animals

In 2024, we introduced grazing cattle to our farming practices.

Know Your Context
